Stay@Home – Treat@Home
A project for people in need of care
The aim of the “Stay@Home – Treat@Home” (STH) project is to provide better care at home for people in need of care. The service is completely free of charge for those in need of care.
What does STH offer those in need of care?
In STH, there is a 24-hour support network for acute health problems where the family doctor's office is not available. This network supports those in need of care in their own home. Unnecessary, stressful emergency services deployments and visits to the emergency room can thus be reduced. Supporters in acute cases include the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians Berlin, the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe and the Malteser Hilfsdienst. A digital application, the so-called "Digital Interactive Health Diary" (DiG), supports all actors. This DiG contains, for example, the diagnoses of those in need of care and their general care wishes. This means that care can be tailored precisely to those in need of care and incorrect care can be prevented.
You will find the offer best summarized in this three-minute video:
Why is STH free?
The development and implementation of STH is funded and scientifically supported by the Federal Joint Committee as part of an innovation fund project.
How can people in need of care participate?
The offer is aimed at all people in need of care in Berlin who live at home (including assisted living). They should be at least 60 years old and insured with a health insurance company participating in the project.
