Digital mobil im Alter – Digitale Teilhabe für ältere Menschen
Digital mobil im Alter is a joint project by O₂ Telefónica and the Digital Opportunities Foundation. The aim of the project is to promote the digital participation of older people so that they can better benefit from the opportunities of the digital world.
In order to be able to participate well in society today, it is important to be able to use digital devices and media competently and independently. Digital mobil im Alter supports older people in acquiring important skills in using digital media. The aim is to strengthen their confidence in their own abilities and deepen their knowledge of the digital world.
Die vier Schwerpunkte im Projekt
1. Zugang – kostenlose Tabletleihe für Senioreneinrichtungen
Digital mobil im Alter lends tablets free of charge to senior citizens' facilities that want to offer tablet courses or digital consultation hours for older people. Over a period of eight weeks, the tablets, including internet access, can be used free of charge and taken home by the elderly. This allows senior citizens to explore the many possibilities of the internet.
2. Unterstützung für Einsteiger*innen, Fortgeschrittene und Trainer*innen
Digital mobil im Alter supports both beginners and advanced users in the safe use of digital media with information events, training courses, materials and explanatory videos. Digital mobil im Alter also supports trainers with helpful guidelines and materials.
3. Motivation und Inspiration – Digitale Spaziergänge und Virtuelle Spielerunden
Digital mobil im Alter brings digital technologies to life in a variety of ways. These include, for example, digital walks, virtual gaming sessions and adventure trails. The aim is to introduce older people to the digital world through varied and playful formats.

4. Digitale Trends – Dialogveranstaltungen, Podcast & WhatsApp-Kanal
Digital mobil im Alter picks up on important topics and current discourse from the digital world at regular dialog events, in articles and audio contributions.
