Department of Migration, Care and Old Age (FaMIPA)

Bookmark
Information on age, care and migration. Strengthening participation and diversity.

What

The Department of Migration, Care and Old Age combines knowledge and contact points on migration, age and care in Berlin. It makes perspectives, needs and experiences of senior people with migration history visible. It provides information on diversity, participation and anti-discrimination.

An intersectional, discriminatory and participatory approach is adopted. This means that it works together with the concerned and is careful not to discriminate against anyone because of age, origin, gender or other characteristics.

Our main tasks are:
- Information about age and care in Berlin
- Participation - become active and design your own projects

Our goal is to:
- to inform about the needs and concerns of (marginalised) senior people with migration history
- to raise awareness of structural discrimination and equal participation
