State Seniors' Advisory Council and State Seniors' Representation Berlin

The Land Seniors' Advisory Council (LSBB) represents the interests of Berlin's older population at a political level. It is made up of representatives from various organizations relevant to senior citizens and the 12 chairpersons of the state senior citizens' representation.

The LSBB makes recommendations to politicians and the administration on issues relevant to senior citizens. It is committed to ensuring that these are placed on the political agenda. With its expertise, the LSBB helps to ensure that the concerns and needs of older people are not only heard but also seriously considered in political decision-making processes.

The Land Seniors' Representation (LSV) is made up of the 12 chairpersons of the district seniors' representations. It represents the interests and rights of senior citizens at state level. It ensures that their concerns are heard.

The LSV takes up the suggestions and problems that are brought to it by the district senior citizens' representatives. Through its work, the LSV helps to ensure that the diversity of perspectives and needs from the various districts of Berlin are taken into account in political decision-making processes. The LSV is committed to ensuring that issues relevant to senior citizens are included in political planning. These include care, accessibility, social participation and improving the quality of life.
