Vladimir Lindenberg: Under the Tsar and in the Revolution

Bookmark
Scenic reading with Claudia J. Bauer and Meinhard Schröder in the framework of the 9th Tegeler History Sundays

What

Vladimir Lindenberg grew up carefree on a Russian estate with numerous servants - near Moscow. His mother's confidence and loving relationship remained a model for him for life, even travelling with her to India, Japan and Germany. His (step) father, he wanted the crocodile to eat him. He later learned who his real father was: Alexander Prince Chelishchev.
When the war began, Karl Lindenberg was interned in the steppe. Soon after, his real father returned to the family. In the revolution, he fought against the Red on a barricade, even though he did not want to kill anyone as a Christian. His own execution was only a short escape. The stepfather took him to Germany and saved him from another arrest.
