A masterpiece of the "Sachiful Comedy" by Buster Keaton. The imaginative comedy of two rich non-students, who, after turbulent entanglements, only find themselves on an abandoned ocean giant, became an incomparable pas de deux of the history of the Grotesk films. Surreal Points, neck-breaking stunts and one of the first underwater sequences of film history raised the filmmaker Keaton with "The Navigator" in the Olympus the most successful film comedian of his time.


The preliminary film "THE BOAT" (1922) also shows Buster Keaton on an adventurous sea trip - with a bath as a lifeboat, a carpenter to the hole stop and the whole family in their luggage.
