The Magic World of Hilma af Klint
One of the greatest new discoveries of the art world is the abstract work of the Swedish artist Hilma af Klint. At the head of the abstract avant-garde, Hilma af Klint developed large-format abstract boards in front of her colleagues Wassily Kandinsky and Piet Mondrian. In addition to landscapes and botanical drawings, from 1906 on, her path led to the abstract composition with organic and geometric forms, which were partly conveyed to her directly by the spiritual world, according to the artist. In this course we want to devote ourselves to organic and geometric forms, inspired by the work of the artist and nature. We look at forms that we find in flowers, fruits, vegetables or organic landscapes and which have been used for many centuries by different cultures. We find the timelessness and beauty of a form and combine it new on paper or canvas.
For beginners and advanced.
