DigitalPact Age

The DigitalPakt Alter is a Germany-wide initiative. It is run by the BAGSO and the Federal Ministry for Senior Citizens. The aim is to help older people with questions about digitalization, smartphones and other devices. Older people are to be supported and shown the benefits of digital technology. The DigitalPakt Alter does this in several ways.

The DigitalPakt Alter supports local projects. The projects receive funding, further training, free materials and are networked with other projects. Older people can go to these local projects if they are not yet familiar with using a smartphone or have other problems.

The DigitalPakt Alter is also a large alliance. All federal states and major associations from business, civil society, science and other areas are taking part. They are discussing and considering how to achieve more together. The aim is to ensure that older people are included in the digitalization process and that no one feels left behind.

The DigitalPakt Alter also offers printed materials. Postcards, information sheets and handouts can be ordered to be sent home free of charge. They describe and explain digital topics. The postcards and information sheets are intended for older people, the handouts are written for associations.
