Berlin Seniors' Week 2026
Every year, the Senate Department for Labour, Social Affairs, Equality, Integration, Diversity and Anti-Discrimination organizes the Berlin Seniors' Week. Within one week, numerous events are offered in all Berlin districts especially for senior citizens.
The fixed program of the Seniors' Week includes the ceremonial opening and the "Market of Opportunities" information exchange. Organizations, associations and institutions present their offers for older people in Berlin.
The Senior Citizens' Week brings together offers for older Berliners and draws attention to a new topic every year.
The Berlin Seniors' Week 2026
The 52nd Berlin Seniors' Week will take place from June 27 to July 4, 2026 under the motto "Our experience counts.".
The opening event on June 27, 2026 will be held at the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek. This will be followed by the Market of Opportunities. There, various institutions, organizations and associations will present their offers specifically geared towards older people.
In addition, a varied program awaits you throughout Berlin during the entire week.
Opening event on June 27, 2026
The 52nd Berlin Seniors' Week will kick off on Saturday, June 27, 2026, with a festive opening event.
The event will start at 11:30 a.m. in the PopUp of the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek at Blücherplatz 1, 10961 Berlin.
The opening will be performed by Ms. Cansel Kiziltepe (Senator for Social Affairs) together with the Deputy Director of the Berlin Central and State Library Dr. Inga Burgmann and the District Mayor of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg
Clara Herrmann. The program also includes a panel discussion in which representatives of Berlin's senior citizens' participation committees will actively participate.
This year's motto of the 52nd Berlin Seniors' Week is "Our experience counts".
From 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the popular Market of Opportunities on the library's outdoor area invites you to discover and linger. Numerous organizations and associations will present their offers for older people - all about commitment, encounters, advice, mobility and much more.
Come along! Discover new things, make new contacts and enjoy the day in a pleasant atmosphere.
Admission is free. No registration is required.

The weekly program of the 52nd Berlin Seniors' Week starts on 27 June and lasts until 4 July 2026. There is a wide range of activities on offer: readings, neighbourhood meetings, technology consultations, jewelry workshops and more.

Good to know:
- Some offers do not only take place during the Seniors' Week, but are continued on a regular basis. These are marked accordingly in the brochure.
